Seagate Seven is the world’s thinnest and most beautiful portable hard disk

At just 7-mm thick, Seagate calls its new Seven the slimmest 500GB USB 3.0 hard disk drive available. That’s thinner than an iPhone 6 Plus only with physical platters spinning at incredible speed inside of an all-steel chassis that hints at the mechanics within. The HDD is being launched to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Seagate introducing the world's first mass produced 5.25-inch hard disk for PCs.
Other than Seagate telling us it’s based upon the 5-mm Angsana drive, the company isn’t giving us much in the way of detail. But that’s ok, this disk isn’t about performance, it’s a message to the world that says, WE ARE SEAGATE now step aside, son. Look for the Seagate Seven to be widely available starting mid- to late-January for $99.99.

Sony Xperia Z1 teaser video goes live, mockup confirms name

The first teaser video of Sony Xperia Z1 also known as Honami has just been published by the Japanese maker. Unfortunately the video is a combination of all teaser pictures we've seen so far and gives us no new details Sony has already showed us the power key , the water-proof panels , the G-lens at the back, as well the slim profile which also revealed the announcement date - September 4. Yes, it's the same day Samsung will premiere the Galaxy Note III. Sony Xperia Z1 has already leaked in various pictures and it looks much like its Xperia Z sibling. The Z1 will supposedly feature a 5" 1080p display and run on a Snapdragon 800 chipset. At the back it will boast a 20.7MP camera 1/2.3" sensor capable of 4K video recording , and a 3000 mAh battery. Oppo teases phone with upgraded Super VOOC, charges in single digit minutes. We were quite impressed by the speed of the 50W Super VOOC charging when  we tested it , so seeing that Oppo VP Brian Shen is teasing an upgraded version on Weibo made our eyebrows rise. Apparently, the first device with the revamped Super VOOC will come out this year. It will have a 4,000mAh battery and it will need just minutes for a full charge. How many minutes? Well, that’s something that will be revealed later. The Oppo Find X Lamborghini pushed its 3,400mAh battery from 0% charge to 93% in just 30 minutes (that’s with the 50W charger). There’s some speculation about an 80W power rating, but there’s no official word yet. Taking this image into consideration, this clearly puts out a fact in public that new device with revamp charging technology would be able to charge more than 93% in less than 10 minutes.
