Seagate Seven is the world’s thinnest and most beautiful portable hard disk

At just 7-mm thick, Seagate calls its new Seven the slimmest 500GB USB 3.0 hard disk drive available. That’s thinner than an iPhone 6 Plus only with physical platters spinning at incredible speed inside of an all-steel chassis that hints at the mechanics within. The HDD is being launched to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Seagate introducing the world's first mass produced 5.25-inch hard disk for PCs.
Other than Seagate telling us it’s based upon the 5-mm Angsana drive, the company isn’t giving us much in the way of detail. But that’s ok, this disk isn’t about performance, it’s a message to the world that says, WE ARE SEAGATE now step aside, son. Look for the Seagate Seven to be widely available starting mid- to late-January for $99.99.

Oppo teases phone with upgraded Super VOOC, charges in single digit minutes. We were quite impressed by the speed of the 50W Super VOOC charging when  we tested it , so seeing that Oppo VP Brian Shen is teasing an upgraded version on Weibo made our eyebrows rise. Apparently, the first device with the revamped Super VOOC will come out this year. It will have a 4,000mAh battery and it will need just minutes for a full charge. How many minutes? Well, that’s something that will be revealed later. The Oppo Find X Lamborghini pushed its 3,400mAh battery from 0% charge to 93% in just 30 minutes (that’s with the 50W charger). There’s some speculation about an 80W power rating, but there’s no official word yet. Galaxy Note III to hit UK on Sept 16, Xperia Z1 on Sept 24

Samsung is doing great job so far keeping the Galaxy Note III phablet under wraps and we are yet to see leaked pictures of the actual device. However we spotted renders , specs, panels, different model rumors, and, most recently a launch date. Today's piece of info comes for Three UK internal document, which contains various devices release dates including the Samsung Galaxy Note III and Sony Xperia Z1 . According to this leaked doc Three UK will be launching the Samsung Galaxy Note III on September 16, while the Xperia Z1 flagship will hit the UK shelves on September 24. If the document is indeed authentic, we guess the other UK carriers and retailers will be getting the two devices around the same time, as well as the rest of the world's major markets. Both devices will be unveiled on September 4 in Berlin and we'll be there to cover the events live for you.
