Acer announces 24-inch Android all-in-one powered by Tegra 3


The pre-IFA festivities from Acer continue, as the company has just announced the DA241HL, a 24″ Android-powered all-in-one featuring a quad-core Tegra 3 processor.

The AiO operates on the Android 4.2 build, which allows you to enjoy the latest games and apps in all their glory on the fullHD 24-inch display.
The Tegra 3 chip is usually found in mobile devices, but it makes sense for Acer to put it in this large-screened touch panel as it’s already optimized to work with the Android platform. The 4.2 Android release also features multi-user support, meaning that it can support custom settings and apps for up to 5 individual users.
The DA241HL comes with MHL connectivity and an HDMI port, meaning that it can connect to a PC to become a 2-point touch display as well.
Look for the Acer DA241HL in mid-October with a starting price of €429.

Sony Xperia Z1 teaser video goes live, mockup confirms name

The first teaser video of Sony Xperia Z1 also known as Honami has just been published by the Japanese maker. Unfortunately the video is a combination of all teaser pictures we've seen so far and gives us no new details Sony has already showed us the power key , the water-proof panels , the G-lens at the back, as well the slim profile which also revealed the announcement date - September 4. Oppo teases phone with upgraded Super VOOC, charges in single digit minutes. We were quite impressed by the speed of the 50W Super VOOC charging when  we tested it , so seeing that Oppo VP Brian Shen is teasing an upgraded version on Weibo made our eyebrows rise. Apparently, the first device with the revamped Super VOOC will come out this year. It will have a 4,000mAh battery and it will need just minutes for a full charge. How many minutes? Well, that’s something that will be revealed later. The Oppo Find X Lamborghini pushed its 3,400mAh battery from 0% charge to 93% in just 30 minutes (that’s with the 50W charger). There’s some speculation about an 80W power rating, but there’s no official word yet. Taking this image into consideration, this clearly puts out a fact in public that new device with revamp charging technology would be able to charge more than 93% in less than 10 minutes.
